Mitsubishi features electric vehicles at Tokyo Auto Show
by admin on Oct.30, 2009, under News
Mitsubishi will feature electric vehicles on the recent Tokyo Auto Show and among them are a plug-in crossover and a cargo version of its electric car.
One of the featured cars from Mitsubishi, the PX-MiEV is a hybrid crossover that contains one electric motor for the front wheels, another for the back, and a 114-hp four-cylinder gasoline engine that can serve either as a generator at low speeds or a source of supplemental propulsion at higher speeds. It is slightly bigger than the bubble-shaped i-MiEV but it uses lithium ion batteries that is similar to the compact car, and it has the same electric-drive operating system to control the motors.
Inside of the concept PX-MiEV coddles, protects, and practically disinfects passengers inside an interior that is the next best thing to a cryogenic chamber, including as it does odor- and bacteria-deactivating seat upholstery, a humidifier and oxygen regulator, anti-aging UV-A–filtering window glass, and a cockpit-like driver’s area with an alertness monitor that will emit a certain smell to tell you to pay attention.
On the other hand, the i-MiEV Cargo is another spinoff of the i-MiEV. It has a large cargo bay in back for use in fleet delivery. And like its i-MiEV base model, the cargo version will have a range of 100 miles on a full battery charge.
Everyone at the Tokyo Auto show is impressed my the Mitsubishi’s lineup of cars at the Tokyo Auto Show, and this will highlight the manufacturer’s efforts to catch up to rivals in clean powertrain technology.

Hybrid Cars: The Earth-Friendly Option
by admin on Oct.29, 2009, under News
As the technology develops, hybrid cars are becoming one of the latest trends when it comes to the auto industry. As a matter of fact, its popularity is fast rising. They are tagged often as the “green cars” because they bring lesser pollution to the environment and it consumes lesser gas. This is why more and more people are buying it because of the continuous rising of fuel prices and the pollution brought about by cars.
However, hybrid cars may be quite expensive compared to the ordinary cars. So far the most popular hybrid sports car introduced in the market is the Mitsubishi Eclipse Concept-E, Subaru Scrambler, and the Mazda Ibuki. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Concept-E has improved interiors, and it has a special engine called the E-boost. This allows the vehicle to attain power even if you are changing gears.
Meanwhile, the Subaru Scrambler has both hybrid and gas engines. Whenever the car needs to be charged, it automatically shifts to the gas-powered engine. And the Mazda Ibuki has the 16-valve four cylinder engine and has a one-of-a-kind hybrid motor. Aside from that, it has the regenerative braking system which automatically charges the batteries whenever needed.
These hybrid cars could really help lessen the pollution and if all people start to use them, the world would become a better place to live. This is one of the consumer’s options to spend little on gas and more investment for other important things.

The 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia on the Road Revelation
by admin on Oct.26, 2009, under All Car Wallpapers, News
In 1973 Ferrari introduced the first in a long line of V8 street car. This first model “Dino Ferrari” was called after Ferrari’s deceased son. The Dino 308GT4 is the beginning of the latest Ferrari 458 Italia.
The newest 458 Italia was described as the successor to the F430 and receives the name from both 4.5 liters and V8 engine. The name is a little different from the last two models 360 and 430; both saw a 3.6-liter and 4.3 liter engines. The current version is truly a fulfillment to Ferrari. With a 4.5-liter engine that produces 570 hp in 9000 rpm, a speed that would destroy the typical car engine. It has a 398 kg / m torque to 6,000 rpm with standard transmission of dual clutch. An impressive 12.5 compression is a wonderful engine that drives the 3042 sports car with 202 miles per hour.
As the last Ferrari cars, the Ferrari 458 Italia’s exterior style and features were arranged for aerodynamic efficiency and designed by the company named “Pininfarina”. The company beat and surpasses the same each time with some of the most beautifully designed cars for you to polish the highway and the racetrack while the car’s interior was designed using input from former Ferrari Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher.
So all in all, this vehicle is a real project and sketches an incredible and imaginative design, Formula One technology, and the wonderful performance that brings on the tradition of the Ferrari Company of producing some of the most desired automobiles in the world.
The start date of production and price of these 458 Italia has not officially announced but it was discovered and shown in 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show last September 15, 2009.
Toyota Motor Corporation: It Came Strong, Now It Is Stronger!
by admin on Oct.25, 2009, under All Car Wallpapers, News
Toyota is, no doubt, already gaining recognition as the new world’s number one auto maker corporation. Amidst the crisis that the other auto makers experienced in the last four quarters, Toyota Motors even increased sales this year in comparison to last year’s. Although, to date, it is already good to note that other corporations are reporting stability in their sales.
In line with this good news on the side of Toyota Motors, there are already speculations that they will increase their production come year second quarter of 2010 due subtle signs of increase in the demand for new cars and trucks. It has also been said that the World’s Largest Automaker has raised its sales forecast by 3% to 6.7 million units for the year ending March 2010.Toyota, however, hadn’t released any formal and final statements on this yet.
Guess, they should be thankful to the cash for clunkers being implemented in the United States. It can be recalled from other reports that this program of the Obama administration had also helped, first and foremost, the local car corporations slightly regain balance on sales. It can also be noted that this year, many car models’ production were closed. This might have swayed car purchaser to grab a Toyota instead.

2011 Ford Focus – The New Revelation
by admin on Oct.23, 2009, under All Car Wallpapers, News
Ford Focus fanatics out there should be really happy and proud with this latest version of the Focus which will have its debut on the second quarter of 2011. This Focus would be a full electric prototype of the 2009 Focus. I myself can’t really wait for the release of this wonderful creation.
The 2011 focus will be a completely redesigned package of the 2009 Focus. It will have an impressive renovation all over having a new transmission which includes an Eco Boost engine, high efficiency powertrains, and a lot of interior and exterior modifications. According to the car manufacturers, it will utilize up-to-the-minute technology like green-tech engineering and so much more. Having this statement being said, no wonder that this car would be one of the much awaited vehicles on 2011.
Well, maybe some of you are wondering on who will bring this Ford Focus into life by 2011. With the growing issues of bankruptcy in the automotive industry in the United States, some of you might be thinking that Ford in America could not possibly make this project. For those of you who think this way, you are indeed right. Ford Europe would take over on this project to re invent the Focus. The Ford Focus is Ford’s bread and butter car in Europe, and with a new replacement of the Horizon, Ford will not hold back on making it the best in its class. The aim is to trim upfront expenses and increase manufacturing economies of scale with a solitary fundamental design that can be built and sold elsewhere, rather than having contrasting regional variations.
When it comes to the pricing, according to the reviews, it will range at around $17,000 up to the mid-$20,000s which is just a little more pricy than the today’s Focus but with better features in.
So for those who cannot wait for the 2011 Focus, just be patient. This is just a prelude for more revelations that are yet to come.
Driver’s Safety via GPS systems
by admin on Oct.22, 2009, under News
“Prevention is the best medicine.”
Being a driver, wouldn’t it be so awesome if you’ll have an idea to when and where a car crash could possibly happen? That would be a sigh of relief knowing that you are completely safe while driving.
As reported by Autoweek, these prevention measures may soon be feasible thanks to the Global Positioning Satellites (GPS). In an effort by Ford Motor Co. in partnership with Auburn University to continuously commit on academic research on the different safety and precautionary measures, they are currently researching on the relationship of these GPS satellites to a car’s stability system in order to predict and in the same time prevent car crash and accidents.
But could this be possible and if so, how could this be possible? According to sources, several tests show that these GPS satellites can monitor the car’s speed and direction and then send signals to the car’s stability system if there is an incoming crash in order to help the driver in avoiding it. More findings of the research will be showed during the Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics in San Antonio, Texas, later this month.
These kinds of projects could possibly be a big leap in accident prevention programs as well as the creation of a safer driving environment. Let’s just hope that all of these will be fully functional in the near future.
